YOUR REASSURANCE OF BEING HEARD
Our work as therapist is to monitor and shepherd our clients to a safe place where realisations and natural organic clarity may appear to reawaken consciousness to new ways of behaviour with fresh obvious “reborn knowledge” to old attitudes.
We support and hear you without judgement.
Where necessary we assist you to hold, support and study your emotional sense be that fear or anger or grief or jealousy or just outright pain. We hold and support you, in doing so we hold discomfort at bay for you. In this process you don’t have to use your psychic energy to keep yourself together, we do that for you, this way you are able to let more of the discomfort pass as all toxic waste should. We reassure you of your safety, in the moment so that you wont be hurt.
In this supported state you allow yourself to mindfully explore your inner most experience to uncover, expose, realise and release expectations which have previously continued to disturb the liberty and freedom of your “self”.
Doing so when supported by a loving, present, therapist creates the opportunity to change our core beliefs.
So when we change the way we look at things the things we look at change.
A human being is a part of the whole, called by us “Universe,” a part limited in time and space.
He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest — a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness.
This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us.
Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.
Albert Einstein –
As Counsellors and Therapists we are fortunate to have been deeply influenced by wise, free thinking, open minded imaginations. People who have inspired us to understand that all people are born as pure innocent children and the passage of birth brings with it all forms , shapes and themes of indoctrination which ego absorbs, captures and runs off with to delude, discolour and taint our innocence. Assuring our consciousness of that aching, unsatisfied sense of need, of never being enough. Seeds beneath the winter snow.
Working from this basic natural understanding we are able to see how individuals become Bonsai to the observations, touches, nips and cuts of emotional modelling.
When Margaret Mead died in 1978, she was the most famous anthropologist in the world. She is well remember by her commitment to therapy and said. “Never doubt that a small, group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.”
We at the Bondi Junction Counselling Service are of the very same belief.
